Specifications Chevrolet Standard 4-door sedan 1935
Body:
Chevrolet Standard 4 door Sedan 1935. Original body, new fenders. Roof
filled in with steel sheet metal after making new wooden bows to support
it. Spot-welded and then filled in with fiberglass filler.
Front side windows are modified and the vent window removed, power
assist from Speciality Power Windows. Power window controls are located in center
console only.
Rear side windows are fixed, jammed tight with a s/s adjustable bar
inside the window.
All windows are tinted.
Wooden frame removed from original doors and new metal structure welded
up.
Fenders are fiber glass from Outlaw. Rear fender widened about 2 inches
to accommodate the 15x8 265R rear wheels
Original hood used, but hood locks removed and new internal hood catch
manufactured from s/s and aluminum. Opening by means of s/s rod from
inside the cabin.
Grille shell original, grille from .... in aluminum.
Front bumper is a s/s bumper from outlaw. Rear bumper removed and
replaced with a custom welded baggage rack in s/s, polished to show
quality (not yet on the pix) . Wooden custom made "suitcase" (not yet
there).
Door handles shaved and replaced with remote entry solenoids. Ford s/s
radiator cap glued on with silicon glue onto the radiator shell. (New
radiator cap for filling is now inside the engine compartment.)
Smoothie steel running boards.
Lights and electricity:
Front headlights are KingBee 7inch s/s polished lights on Outlaw Chevy
34 headlight bars in aluminum with "snake eye" inserts with blue dot.
Front turn signals are LEDs flush mounted in the fenders plus Vision
rear view mirrors with LED lights.
Rear turn signals and Rear lights are Ford 39 teardrop lights with blue
dot frenched into the bumpers.
Third brake light is a 10inch LED light flush mounted below the rear
window.
Wiring harness from Painless.
Remotely controlled battery disconnect switch.
Remote entry from Dakota Digital.
Battery is mounted in a s/s custom made box under driver's seat.
Reachable only from outside/below.
Vintage Air Gen2 A/C with bulkhead fittings and braided hoses with
Airquip fittings.
Specialty Power Windows windshield wiper system.
Interior:
Original rear seat covered in Argentinian brown leather.
Front seat also originally original, but I am now working on changing
this to Japanese bucket seats because the original became too high.
Ceiling has a mahogany center console with DVD monitor. The rest of the
ceiling is plywood/chipboard , closed cell foam and then yellow leather.
Door panels are leather over foam with a mahogany trim below the window.
Flames carved out of the foam.
The whole interior is thoroughly insulated. Floor has first a fiberglass
mat and on top of that rebond with an aluminum foil. Door panels and
ceiling etc have a foam-alu sticky boards.....(???) Don't know the name
but it is lightweight and has a sticky side where you peel of a sheet of
protective paper.
Instrument panel is accented by mahogany details that fit into the
factory stampings with a new console of mahogany.
Classic Instrument Vintage series instruments. RPM had to go into the
console to fit.
Rear doors have no handles on the inside (suicide doors). Can only be
opened with a switch on the console when the ignition key is in OFF
position. Considering to install some kind of mechanical handle in case
of emergency escape.
Steering wheel is a LeCarra three spoke with mahogany rim. I managed to
get the same color on the dash....!
Ididit polished steering column with column shift.
Suspension and brakes:
TCI Mustang II independent front suspension with tubular arms. Power
rack and pinion steering with Flaming river linkage to the Ididit
steering column. Lokar linkage between the steering column and the TH350
transmission. Disc brakes front.
Rear new leaf spring suspension with Ford 9inch rear and drum brakes.
Master brake cylinder and booster on the frame, below driver. Inspection
(boat) hatch in the floor in front of the driver's seat.
S/s brake lines with braided s/s flexible ends in front. Proportional
valve and 2 psi and 10 psi valves.
Wheels and tires:
American Racing TorqThruster II, 14x6 front and 15x8 rear. Tires are
Road Huggers 225x14 front and 265x15 rear.
Engine and transmission:
Goodwrench GM crate engine 350cui and 230HP with Edelbrock polished
intake, Edelbrock 750cc carburetor, block hugger
headers, breaker-less ignition, chrome gas pump, chrome alternator,
chrome water pump, chrome A/C compressor. Chrome valve covers and chrome
air cleaner. Griffit aluminum radiator with SPAL electric fan.
TH350 automatic transmission with B&M chrome oil cooler. S/s braided
hoses for transmission oil and for power steering.
Braided s/s hose from fuel pump to fuel tank. S/s Rock Valley fuel tank.
