The body was placed on a home made trolley, so we could get a decent work height. Even better would have been a "rotisserie", so could have turned the body on the side to do the work underneath.

 

The rear fenders were not recognizable, so I had bought new ones in fiber glass. But the front fenders were not so bad, so I decided to fix them up. However, after many hours of work, I realized that these fenders in the end would be more synthetic material in them than steel, so I decided it was better to get a new pair in fiberglass. Outlaw Performance have excellent fiber glass parts for the Chevy 34 and 35.


September 2001. The roof is being filled in. We used standard sheet metal....
The opening is almost flat, so it looks possible

 

Finally it was time to let the painter, Ranfor, start working on it. Carlos helped him with all the tedious body prep and sanding.
